Colorbond Steel

Merbau hardwood frame

Merbau at 875mm does something pine can't — it earns the height. The rich grain, natural density and deep tone of the Merbau frame give this bed the visual weight to match its scale. Naturally durable, highly specified in Australian outdoor construction and applied with Merbau Decking Oil as standard.

 

Construction

Built with hot-dipped galvanised shank nails — the outdoor industry standard. They flex with natural timber movement, holding the structure solid through Melbourne's wet winters and summer heat. Hand-built at our Cranbourne, Melbourne workshop by our experienced carpentry team.

• Bottomless — sits directly on the ground, roots grow freely into native soil with no depth restriction

• With base board — internal timber base board with black PVC liner. 425mm internal soil depth. Suitable for decks, pavers, concrete and hard surfaces.

• Corrugated Colorbond steel walls are completely weatherproof — no lining required, soil contact causes zero steel deterioration

• 875mm height adds a natural barrier effect — widely used in commercial outdoor spaces for zone definition

Bottomless — unrestricted root depth, at stand-up height

• Deep-rooting vegetables at bench height: tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, beans, peas, cucumbers

Lockable castors (with base board only)

• Heavy-duty lockable castors — lock in place for stability, unlock to reposition
