• 425mm (standard) — 310mm internal soil depth

• 625mm (tall) — 470mm internal soil depth

 

Base / bottom option

• No bottom — completely open base. Place the box directly on soil and let roots grow freely into the ground below. Maximum growing depth with no restriction. Not compatible with castors.

• 2/3 bottom — a partial internal base board that raises the soil floor by one third. Ideal for herbs, flowers and shallow-root plants placed above-ground. Can be used with castors.

• Full bottom — slatted timber base with natural drainage gaps + black PVC liner. Best for above-ground placement on hard surfaces (pavers, decks, concrete). Can be used with castors.

Timber

• 25mm ACQ treated pine — nearly double the wall thickness of standard 12mm timber

Construction

• Solid timber walls over a slatted base — the gaps between slats let water drain freely

• Hot-dipped galvanised shank nails throughout — the outdoor timber industry standard. They flex with natural timber movement

• Ground-sitting flat base — no legs. Add castors for mobility (see Add-ons)

• Hand-built at our Cranbourne workshop by our experienced carpentry team

• Black PVC liner included as standard — forms a barrier between soil and timber to extend box life

• Slatted timber base with natural drainage gaps — water drains freely

• Flat-base design sits flush to the ground — stable and permanent, or add castors for mobility

• Suitable for growing directly in soil or with pots placed inside

• Need more drainage? Cut the liner over the base slat gaps — water drains straight through the timber.

425mm height — 310mm internal soil depth

• Large herb and flower gardens with dedicated planting zones — the 1800–2100mm length creates real separation between crops

• Continuous harvest crops: lettuce, silverbeet, kale, rocket — long rows for a regular supply

Raw — natural bare timber, no finish applied. Ready to paint or stain yourself.

Every box leaves our workshop with 2 full coats applied by hand — deeper colour, stronger protection, lasting finish. We use Intergrain, Cabot's and Sikkens.

 

Stained & oiled — UV and weather protection, brings out the natural timber grain:

Heavy-duty castors

• Raises the box 100mm off the ground — total height = box height + 100mm

• Makes your garden bed fully mobile — reposition for sun, shade or different seasons

• All castor options include lockable wheels for stability when stationary

• 1800mm & 2100mm: 4 × lockable corner castors + 4 × swivel middle castors

 

Trellis add-on

• Standard trellis sits 600mm above the top of the box

• Ideal for climbing plants: beans, peas, tomatoes, passionfruit

• Custom trellis height up to 1000mm available
